Before rhetoric, before linearity, there were pretty thoughts.

A poetic interpretation of the creative process: None-sequential, layered, and constantly bursting forth in transparency, opaqueness, and solidity. Revealing everything that is beautiful, personal, and difficult to quantify.
Multi-material and color printing experimentation. Two layers of outer shells together with an inner yolk containing clusters of bloody red flowers.
The more hardshell and geometrically driven 3D design is, the more I want to push for an organic and soft approach. Fluid and elastic like transitory thoughts ready to grow and form into something else.
Material: 3D printed vero
Prototype Size: 8CM(W) x 8CM (D) x 13CM (H)
Target Size: 15CM (W) x 15CM(D) x 24.4CM (H)
It is my belief that emerging technology such as 3D printing will become more and more personalized as it integrates with our everyday lives, and redefining the way in which we carry out essential functions. Therefore, it is less about making a earth shattering statement with technology, but using it in a completely personal and customized way.
Design After thought
I do not strive for perfection because it simply doesn't exist. Our perception of what is perfect is easily influenced by the context in which we live in. It is constantly changing and taking on new meanings, therefore, many of my designs instead aim to capture a momentary mood or an expression of an emotion. These cognitive manifestations are imperfect but hold true in a timeless manner.
